Humidur® was applied as anti-corrosion system on sheet piles for Tata Steel (Corus Steel formerly known as Hoogovens IJmuiden). The sheet pile quay wall Buka 3 was coated in 1988.
In 2015, after 27 years of service, the condition of the coating was inspected.
After 27 years Humidur® is in good condition on Buka 3. Humidur® still protects the sheet piles from corrosion and retains its function for the next couple of years.
