Commissioned by De Vlaamse Waterweg, Acotec NV completed the full corrosion protection of the Xella jetty on the River Scheldt in Burcht. Using Humidur FP, a durable coating that cures underwater, all steel structures were treated across three phases: 20 foundation piles beneath the platform, 8 tubular piles in front of the jetty, and the downstream sheet piles.
Scaffolding adapted to the tides ensured safe access above and below the waterline. The result: long-term, maintenance-free protection against corrosion and environmental exposure.
