Onsite maintenance

Diving bells

Diving bells operate in extremely harsh marine environments, leading to significant corrosion over time. With traditional coating systems, maintenance is typically required every two to three years to manage the coating degradation. Moreover, these systems often involve multi-layer applications, leading to extended asset downtime during refurbishment. In contrast, Humidur® anti-corrosion coating offers a durable, single-layer solution that significantly extends the service life of the structure while drastically reducing downtime.

Acotec has successfully refurbished several diving bells, including their interiors, trunks, and wet pots.

After refurbishment with Humidur®, the chamber is still in perfect condition, even after 7 years of intensive use.

Humidur Coatings

Conventional solvent-borne coatings introduce the risk of solvents being trapped into the coating layers or still being evaporated during the curing process. Human safety of the divers is at stake when they are exposed to these solvents during their dives. A major key selling point for using Humidur® Coatings to protect dive bells, is the fact that these coatings are completely solvent-free.
